What’s the best microphone to use to record my vocals?

This is a tough question to answer because it depends on so many things.

Here at DeviantNoise.com we use the Rode NT1-A Microphone to record all our artists’ vocals.

They sound crisp, clean and very neutral – perfect for professional audio. But there are tons of other great mics out there.

The Rode NT1-A will cost you around $250-$300. There are cheaper alternatives that we’ll review in the near future.

Other great options include:

  • AudioTechnica AT2020
  • Neumann TLM 103
